Best-supporting the diverse needs of an HE\/FE institution with design, print and photography that is creative, cost-saving and timely can be challenging in \u2018normal\u2019 times. ACPME members excel at \u2018bending over backwards\u2019 to ensure their academic staff, students and support colleagues get exactly what they need, when they\u00a0need it and at keeping funds on campus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The global pandemic has made this year anything other than \u2018normal\u2019. Many of our members and the majority of their teams have been furloughed and\/or challenged with delivering the best services possible while working from home or with skeleton staff in the workplace.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0awards (below) recognised achievements in adversity by whole teams, by individual members of staff and the amazing efforts our valued suppliers have made to support us during the global pandemic.<\/p>\n

The submissions in this category highlighted the professional, dedication and commitment of our members. They reflected close collaboration between members’ teams and their colleagues and the in-depth level of understanding in-house units have for operational challenges across campuses and their willingness to overcome whatever global pandemics throw.<\/p>\n

The submissions showed huge cost savings for institutions over external contractors, innovation, tangible care for staff and students and passion to succeed.<\/p>\n

The efforts through the pandemic will, no doubt shape, how teams will work together with improved recognition of the skills and services members’ offer.<\/p>\n

Their work\u00a0that has elevated the standing of the units they work in, while developing essential income streams and helping to keep staff and students on campus, as connected as possible and safe.<\/p>\n

Ricoh and partners Apex were nominated by Loughborough University. Ricoh supported Loughborough with a 3 month payment holiday for\u00a0MFDs and\u00a0with an innovative\u00a0solution to deal with busy parcel\/post through the pandemic. Their forward-thinking and quick responses saved money and enabled post and parcels to get to students\u00a0who remained on campus in a COVID-safe and secure manner.<\/p>\n
